Dear Sweet Friend:
My name is Young Kill Lee, director of the Ambassador Singers from South Korea. I am writing to introduce you to the Ambassador Singers and request your church's commitment to hosting these talented musicians and vocal performers during our upcoming tour in the United States. (Please contact us for a list of cities and dates available.) I realize the timeline is approaching rapidly, so your urgent response is appreciated.
About the Ambassador Singers:
The Ambassador Singers is a Christian singing group that I founded in 1980 and the group has performed for thirty-five years all over the world.
Membership in this team of the Ambassador Singers is very competitive since candidates must pass an audition and selection process before they are chosen. Once selected, members are asked to raise their own support to cover their travel expenses to and from the United States. Upon arrival in the U.S., the Ambassador Singers minister daily to churches across the country through their "Concerts of Praise" performances.
About Pastor Young Kil Lee:
I have directed the Ambassador Singers for thirty-five years. God's call on my life was evident at an early age since I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of fourteen. From that moment forward, I knew I was called to share the gospel with many. In 1966, I joined the ministry Youth for Christ in Daejeon, South Korea where I saw 35,000 decisions made for Christ. I also participated in music ministry with American singing groups such as Liberty University's choir in South Korea where I not only learned to speak English, but also grew spiritually.
The First Baptist Church of Central Florida in Orlando appointed me as a missionary in 1973. This church supported me financially and prayerfully early on in my ministry. Seven years later, I sensed God's call to begin a Korean singing group similar to the American singing groups I toured with in Korea that ministered the gospel through songs in the Korean language and English. In 1980, the Ambassador Singers was founded. For thirty-five years, I have directed the Ambassador Singers in over 3,000 "Concerts of Praise" performances across America, and I have toured with the group in Europe, Japan, Canada, the United States, Romania, and Hungary. My prayer for the coming years is for the Ambassador Singers to raise support for our Mission Project in Africa, which will lead to 1,000 church plants across Africa if God wills.
Current U.S. Tours:
During 2016, I will be in the United States with tour groups of the Ambassador Singers performing "Concerts of Praise" in English. The concerts are either 50-minute or 90-minute performances featuring voice, instruments, dance, testimonies, and a sermon (see Sample "Concert of Praise" Order of Service below). Songs performed may include:
Every "Concert of Praise" performance is music ministry for the Ambassador Singers, as well as an opportunity for the Lord to use each performer's talents to bless those who attend the concert. While the concerts are free, we appreciate a love offering during the concert for the ministry of the Ambassador Singers, as well as meals and overnight lodging in the homes of church members for the team members and director.
Please Commit to Hosting the Ambassador Singers:
Please prayerfully consider inviting the Ambassador Singers to perform a "Concert of Praise" at your church during their upcoming tour. We consider it our honor for us to be welcomed to your church at a given date. Please reply as soon as possible confirming your church's availability.
